Cocktail of the Month: Sparkling Pomegranate Punch

Thanksgiving is approaching quickly! Hopefully you have everything you need to serve Thanksgiving dinner (or at least sturdy plastic containers to take with you when you visit other people's homes!). But don't forget our favorite food group: the cocktails! This Sparkling Pomegranate Punch is perfect to serve for Turkey Day.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced crosswise

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

  • 3/4 cup late-harvest white wine, chilled

  • Two 750-milliliter bottles sparkling wine, chilled

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple

  • 1 cup pomegranate juice

  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a punch bowl, dissolve the sugar in the pomegranate juice, stirring vigorously.

  2. Add the sparkling wine and late-harvest white wine, then add the orange slices, diced pineapple and pomegranate seeds.

  3. Serve the sparkling pomegranate punch over ice cubes.

Cocktail of the Month: Bourbon Maple Cider

Move over Pumpkin Spice! Maple is a fall flavor that shouldn't be overlooked. And combined with bourbon in Bourbon Maple Cider, it's the quintessential fall cocktail. 

Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces Bourbon
  • 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4-6 teaspoons pure maple syrup to taste
  • 1 cup spiced apple cider
  • apple slices for garnish
  • ice

Instructions:

  1. Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, and apple cider to shaker and shake vigorously.
  3. Add ice to glass and strain shaker into glass. 
  4. Garnish each with a slice of apple.
